Collecting Materials for your Game

To develop your game, you will most likely need graphics and sounds, but don't overlook special fonts which can help establish the period. Unless you are an experienced font designer, you should use fonts that you can download or purchase and install. Graphics and sounds are also widely available for purchase of as free downloads, but you may also need to create some of your own.

You should also explore possible graphics and sound files even before you settle on your final story, because you might be inspired by something you see or hear that you would like to use.

Whenever you explore possibilities, the best practice is to create a folder for your game, and separate folders for graphics, sound, and text files to keep all of your collected and saved materials organized and easy to find. If you are working in a group, you should also be sure to meet frequently as a group to share what you've colected.
